SUMMARY:Berlin Study Trip
DESCRIPTION:Berlin Study Trip:\nShrinking Spaces of Solidarity?\nGerman Development Policy in a Shifting World\nA study trip offered by STUBE  Rheinland-Pfalz/ Saarland and the CampusGemeinde Kaiserslautern\n \nRecent upheavals in international and national politics have had huge implications for development cooperation. Funding cuts by important donor countries\, the establishment of new donor countries\, and a more overt repositioning of development policy to serve national security interests mean that work in the field is changing. In the seminar “Shrinking Spaces of Solidarity? German Development Policy in a Shifting World”\, we take a closer look at the challenges these changes bring. We ask ourselves how we can nonetheless engage in development cooperation that is rooted in genuine solidarity. \nOn the study trip\, you will have the opportunity to meet and discuss these topics with people who are professionally active in development cooperation. We will critically engage with the focus areas\, mechanisms and impact of German development policy from the perspective of state institutions as well as civil society groups. \nAt a glance:\nWhen? Thursday\, 23.10.2025\, 7 am – Saturday\, 25.10.2025\, 11 pm \nWhere? Martas Gästehaus\, Lehrter Straße 68\, 10557 Berlin \nArrival: We will travel to Berlin together by train. Details will be sent around after registration. \nCosts? 30€ per participant \nThe reservation of your space on the trip is only complete after the participation fee has arrived. We will send you the bank details after your registration. \nSeminar language: English \n  \nSeminar leaders: \nBritta Geburek-Haag (CampusGemeinde Kaiserslautern) \nAlina Giesen (STUBE RPS) \nREGISTRATION: \nRegistration is now open!
